Colour Challenge and Blog Hop

I joined Erin Prais-Hintz who hosted a Challenge of Colour Blog Hop using colour palettes from Jessica Colaluca of Design Seeds. This is the first time I've joined and had fun.

The palette I was given is called Field Tones. I chose the colour group of Green.

Here are the pieces I created using these colours. The large beads are Green Choroite and the others are ceramic and glass with silver Bali beads. Sorry the colours aren't as brilliant as I had hoped. I'm still learning to photograph my pieces and the lighting today was gloomy because of the rain. I kept getting a yellow tinge. I will be looking into lightbox ideas now for days like today.

This is what I made with the beads that Sharyl sent me. I made a cluster pendant and some earrings. I still have a few beads left to play with....Thank you again Sharyl, that was very sweet of you.

Oak Leaves

These are another pair of earrings I made for a Fall inspired swap. The oak leaves are sterling charms and I added swarovski crystals in fall colours.

Kit Swap to Dagmar

This is the kit the Dagmar sent me. I had fun and this is what I made for her using some things from my own stash. I didn't use everything that was in the kit so sent it back so Dagmar can use it on something else :)

Dagmar made the long polymer clay bead herself.

Well, Wednesday has come and almost gone. I forgot to click a photo before I started, but here is what I've accomplished this afternoon. These will be going to the same sale as the little snowmen. Quick and easy seems to be the theme of the week for me :)

It's snowing

well not really...but I've been thinking Christmas. I sat tonight thinking about something to make for a local seniors residence where my grandfather is living. They will be having a craft and bake sale soon. So along came these easy little snowmen earrings.

The Bead Soup Blog Party is Here!

Today is the day I get to reveal what I made from the soup mix that Mary sent me.

I have received, an Agate focal along with some, Jade, Amazonite, Bronzite, Cracked Agate, Tiger Eye, Carnelian and Rock Crystal Quartz to play with and used almost all of it. Mary also made the clasp with Apatite wired to it I used on the bracelet and the earwires I used on the Jade earrings.

I added a few things from my collection to make up the following pieces.

I had such fun with this, my first Bead Soup Blog Party.

The necklace features the Agate focal, along with Jade, Amazonite, Carnelian and Cracked Agate from Mary. I added the chain, clasp and spacers from my stash.

I used the Cracked Agate, Rock Crystal Quartz Nuggets and the pretty Apatite beads from Mary and added the Carnelian and round Crystal Quartz and metal. Mary also made the beautiful clasp for this bracelet.

These earrings feature the Bronzite Mary sent and I added the metal and some Tiger Eye to balance these out.

Mary made the earwires from sterling and the Jade and Carnelian are from the soup she sent.

The book thong is made with the Tiger Eye and Carnelian chips Mary sent. I added the charm.

The ring is my OUT OF THE BOX project. I've never made a ring before and had one lonely Rock Crystal left that Mary sent .....so I tried my hand at ring making...after the third try I was pleased with this one. I added some Cracked Black Agate with it.

Now it's time to see what the others in the party made. Thank you Lori for hosting and allowing me to take part.
